Muscle Builder Supplements

Muscle Building Tablets & Supplements

Our muscle building range covers the tablets and capsules lifters ask about most: ecdysteroids such as turkesterone and ecdysterone, plant extracts including TK Ali, epicatechin and laxogenin, and proven staples like creatine. Most come from our own German Pharma range, and every ingredient has its own guide explaining what the research shows and how to take it.

Muscle Building Tablets: How to Choose

How to choose a muscle building tablet

Most products in this range fall into four groups. Which suits you depends on your training experience, your budget and how much research you want behind what you take.

  • Creatine. The most researched supplement in sports nutrition. Creatine increases physical performance in successive bursts of short-term, high intensity exercise; the beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 3g. If you are not already taking it, this is the place to start. See our creatine guide.
  • Ecdysteroids: turkesterone and ecdysterone. Plant-derived compounds that do not bind the androgen receptor. Ecdysterone has the larger body of human research; turkesterone is more popular but less studied. Our turkesterone vs ecdysterone comparison covers the differences.
  • Botanical extracts: TK Ali, fadogia agrestis and epicatechin. Plant extracts with smaller research bases, often stacked alongside an ecdysteroid. Read the epicatechin and fadogia agrestis guides before choosing.
  • Laxogenin. A plant-derived brassinosteroid. Quality varies widely across the market, so buy from a supplier that tests its material. Our laxogenin guide explains what to look for.

Who are muscle building tablets for?

These products suit people who already have a solid foundation of training and nutrition in place:

  • Experienced lifters: those who have hit a plateau and want support for further progress.
  • Natural athletes: people looking for products free from synthetic hormones and prohibited substances.
  • Hard gainers: people who struggle to put on muscle despite a high calorie intake and consistent training.
  • Recomposition phases: lifters aiming to lose body fat while holding on to lean mass.

When should you take them?

Consistency matters more than timing. Always follow the directions on each product, but as a general guide:

  • With a meal: many ingredients are better absorbed with food, particularly a meal containing protein and some fat.
  • Split doses: where the daily serving is more than one capsule, many people take half in the morning and half later in the day.
  • Before training: some products are directed to be taken 30 to 60 minutes before a workout.
  • On rest days too: most are designed to be taken every day, including non-training days.

Frequently asked questions

What are the best tablets for muscle growth?

Training, total calories and protein intake matter far more than any supplement. Beyond those, creatine has the strongest evidence. Ecdysterone and turkesterone are the most popular next step for lifters who already have the basics in place.

Do muscle building tablets work?

It depends on the ingredient. Creatine is well established. The evidence for ecdysteroids and botanical extracts is emerging and mostly comes from small studies. Each of our ingredient guides grades the research honestly so you can judge for yourself.

Are muscle building tablets legal in the UK?

The products in this collection are sold as food supplements and are legal to buy and use in the UK. If you compete in tested sport, check each ingredient against the WADA Prohibited List; our ingredient guides show the status of each one.

Are muscle building tablets safe?

Taken as directed, the products here are generally well tolerated. Speak to your GP first if you take regular medication, have a health condition, or are pregnant or breastfeeding. These products are not intended for anyone under 18.

How long should I take them before judging results?

Most people assess a supplement over a full 8 to 12 week training block, with consistent training and diet, rather than week to week.
